Zlatomir's first Dark shift design actually had the pen nib visor too, but I removed it to a flattened face to keep him more expressive. I thought it worked better in his True shift (feral birdy) because then he has a mouth to open. I also think it fit his personality and demise a bit more to have a humanoid face in this form, because it offers more contrast to his True shift, as he still clung to his humanity before he was forcefully turned.

Still, it looks pretty dope and I felt like drawing it :> Here is also the first concept I made
