The story of a former opera star who must by the will of Fate work as a Crocodile in a styrofoam costume entertaining children in the children’s playroom of a shopping centre. This kind of life seems joyless and even disgusting to the former leading tenor, and he vents his frustration by behaving rudely. Until one day, into his life enters a fateful woman and… a crocodile.

Upvote #121: Krokodill
Krokodill
by Johan Johannsson on Englaborn

Summary: It's amazing how different the stations are right now. While the Downvote Station gives me artists purposefully eschewing conventional aesthetics, the Upvote Station wants to give me classically beautiful compositions.
Johannsson's piano piece, Krokodill, is wonderfully sorrowful. It's minimalistic in its composition and very slow, but at the same time heavy and powerful.
Krokodill is the Russian word for 'crocodile' and I know that because of the recent attention the Russian drug 'krokodil' has received. I have no idea if the song is touching on the drug (probably not?) but now they're inevitably mixed up in my mind.

Representative Nonsense Simile: it's like when time seems to be going slower than usual, but not because you're bored
I Too Have a Search History that Makes me Look Like a Russian Drug Addict Youtube Comment: Kinda creepy that youtube keeps directing me to the russian drug
What part of the movie is it playing over: Our lesbian protagonist is recounting finding her lover dead, inside their apartment. She is talking with the police. It's proper procedure. She talks about walking in and finding the place in shambles, everything knocked about and a broken vase on the floor with the flowers and dirt splayed out. And then she recounts turning around the corner and seeing the dead body in the hall. We do not see a flashback of the event. The camera stays panned on her in a cheap chair and a dark interrogation room. There is no one else in frame except her and the dark walls.
Krokodil addict.
