Misty Quigley has spent her entire life preparing for the drastic change that is college, hoping for a bit of exposure therapy to being out of control of a situation, she allows her parents to pick her roommate, it’s only for a year after all, plus, they have to agree too, right? Unbeknownst to her, her parents find out her childhood crush happens to be going to the same school as she is.

Jackie Taylor didn’t even know if she wanted to go to college. She sure as hell wanted out of her town, but it seems to have followed her to school, damn the roommate choosing website. Then again, Misty Quigley is one of the good ones from Wiskayok, and she’s always laser-focused on school, maybe it wouldn’t be too bad.

Akilah Morris misses her girlfriend. Unfortunately, Laura Lee is miles away at school and only a few people know they’re even dating. How is she supposed to focus on soccer in a situation like this?

Laura Lee O’Malley’s dream future is to become a kindergarten teacher and live on a farm with her girlfriend. One two three big issues: she can count on one hand how many people she trusts to know about her and Akilah, her parents would disown her if they knew about how she plans to live her life, and the internet is forever.

Kristen Sharpe has been given the opportunity of a lifetime, the chance to graduate as a junior, move to New York, and attend Juilliard. But an auditon would mean her real name, which, normally wouldn’t be a problem, the only people she lied about her name to were the Yellowjackets. However, drama club is doing Gen’s favorite musical and she just has to join in.

Gen Reyes doesn’t like Kristen, she doesn’t hate her either, but it’s not easy being nice. But she’s always wanted to try theater, it’s a guilty pleasure. The fall musical looks nice, a quick try-it before she has to be co-captain. But now, she knows—definitively—that she’s been lied to for three years (and it might be her fault).

Shauna Shipman just wants to get through her first year of college and not completely isolate herself from her friends. Mari Ibarra, however seems to hate this plan. Blowing up her phone, texting Jackie exclusively in group chats instead of individually, and commenting mean shit on everything she posts.

Mari Ibarra doesn’t mean to be mean, then again, yes she does. She doesn’t mean for Shauna to take it so seriously. Just friendly banter while she’s on top of the world. And it has absolutely nothing to do with her newly realized attraction to women.
