Gen, one of the only people who didn't hunt down Nat, and after Lottie, the first to pledge her loyalty to her as their new queen. And Nat, who chose Gen as their new hunter, and taught her how to hunt.

Gen’s button up in the “I’m Just A Girl” music video isn’t seen the best as it’s under two layers of clothing but I believe I’ve found a close match!

Based on what I can make out of Gen’s button up, I believe the Zara “Tie Dye Overshirt” is pretty similar! The Zara top is multicolored with purple and pink as well as made with a textured fabric which seems to line up with Gen’s top. I ultimately can’t confirm if it’s exact one though as I can’t see more of the shirt.

Sure! Gen’s season one looks are some of my favorite outfits of hers overall so there’s definitely a lot of good ones to pick from! Here are my top 3 though:

• Blood Hive Outfit

This is one of my favorite Gen looks ever and I’d been looking for this dress since I started my blog in 2024 so I was super excited to find it this past winter! I had to stop buying things for my collection to save up for my trip but this is one of the pieces I’m most looking forward to adding when I start collecting again! I mean the fact that the dress even has a matching scrunchie is just so iconic, how could it not be one of my favorite Gen outfits!

• F Sharp Outfit

This outfit features a floral dress very similar to the one Gen wears in 01x05 (which is probably why I like it so much) but I just love how it’s paired with the classic Yellowjackets Letterman! The production still with the group around the campfire is one of the more recognizable Yellowjackets photos in my opinion so this outfit was always one that sticks out to me! Plus, the dress is another piece I am really excited to have an ID for and one that I’m also looking forward to add to my collection!

• 01x06 Outfit

This outfit isn’t one that’s featured the best in the episode nor does it have any behind the scenes photos of it, but the look has just always stood out to me! I really love the blue AFRM top and I like how it’s paired with the shorts and shoes!

I think it’s a shame that most of these pieces didn’t stick around for the later seasons but they’re pretty awesome nonetheless so I’m glad to see they’re getting some attention with all the asks I’ve received about them!

Have you identified Gen’s dress? She wears it in season 2 and I originally thought it was a skirt but then I noticed it’s the same pattern as the dress she wears in season 3

I haven’t been able to ID Gen’s dress but at this time I believe the dress was likely custom made! The season 2 Costume Designer Amy Parris has explained in multiple interviews how she made a lot of custom pieces for Yellowjackets (especially for the then newly introduced side characters) so because of Gen’s dress’s older silhouette and fabric pattern, I believe it was likely one of these custom pieces.

The style of Gen’s dress is specifically very similar to vintage 1980s Erika & Co and Laura Ashley dresses (close matches) so I believe these dresses likely served as inspiration for Gen’s dress.

The construction of the top of Gen’s dress specifically matches up with that of vintage Erika & Co or Erika Studio dresses (pictured on the left for comparison). The front button details as well as the paneling appear to be patterned the same especially with the inclusion of buttons on the waist band.

The skirt reminds me more of the 80s Laura Ashley dresses though with the tighter pleats and overall the color palettes of these dresses seem much more similar to Gen’s than the Erika dresses which seem to be more muted in color (pictured below).
