personally for us chronic pain is a part of our self perception, all our muscles and joints hurt all the time so it's like a part of our body doesn't exist if it's not in pain? so our wings also include some associated pain when they're there, but it's mostly euphoric and a part of emoting like you said!

I only have localized chronic pain (having a bone pressing into your spinal cord is not fun, 2/10 experience, not recommended), but I can imagine how it would affect them, too.

Nope, the Alolan Ninetales is indeed the shiny ^^ It's true they don't look quite as red as they should, but they're definitely different from non-shiny Alolan Ninetales!

would it be possible to change the "actively searching" option to cover if you hunted for the shiny but never got it? eg. "no, but I've actively searched for one" should work whether its an old or current hunt, but you could probably come up with something better
