Unpopular Kpop Opinion #16
I really wish that reactors that start listening to k-pop, and obviously either start with BTS or Blackpink, would stop comparing other kpop groups that they start to listen with that first group.
Obviously k-pop groups are going to have similar sounds, it’s kpop. But each group has it’s own color and should be appreciated as such.

I never understand when ppl say Jre uses BTS for clout when he was one of the first kpop reactors to ever really share his love for kpop on YouTube. He genuinely supported BTS since their debut. Like the first time I came across a video of his was in like 2012 when he reacted to Fantastic Baby lol. He's an og reactor, so why would he start using kpop for clout now when he loves the genre? Just like your faves, he started from nothing and grew into his popularity and he deserves his success. I'm not understanding the issue here. Did he do something problematic that I'm missing?
I found it funny how there were these YouTube Reactors a little while back, going around calling all supporters/shippers and fan-artist (of any fandom) “disgusting”, “creepy” and “ya’ll need help”, “you should be ashamed”, “ya’ll fucked up in the head for shipping two real human beings, with real emotions, together.”
But they out here Reacting to videos with the SAME specific ships (claiming that “the fans are forcing them to do it”) and ENJOYING that “Would You Rather (dirty ver.)” video/s with BTS members. Which is basically a self-insert-interactive game containing high amounts of explicit sexual content enough to put even the most hardcore fic on AO3 look like Disney Movie.
And don’t even get me started on the ones who profit off reading Smut fics live.
Even while knowing that the odds of BTS or any other Kpop Idol finding their videos are higher than them finding those fics on AO3.
But hey, go off I guess.
