Dalianraptor is an Avialan that has had a fun and confusing history and might not even be a real thing. It was very similar to Jeholornis, but when it was described it was listed as a member of “Aves”, which is often synonymized with Neornithes, making it seem more derived than it actually is. In addition, it appears to have very short arms, which is ard given it’s an Avialan, and these animals typically had long arms for their wings. It did, however, have a longer thumb, so maybe it was flightless. It was found in the Jiufotang Formation in Liaoning, China, living about 120 million years ago in the Aptian age of the Early Cretaceous. It is, however, probably a chimera, and not a real dinosaur - formed for the fossil trade, and having the body of Jeholornis matched with the arms of a flightless theropod.
