Opal had stopped going to the moon.

It was as simple as that. She offered no explanation when asked; no implication of a return anytime soon.

She just... decided against it, after dozens of trips back and forth, updating the earth gems on what was happening.

(She didn’t tell Bortz that Dia was happy. She didn’t tell Rutile that Padparadscha was alright. No one knew about Yellow.)

...But even then, she knew she would have to tell the truth eventually. To someone.

To Cinnabar.

Of course, to Cinnabar, who had probably seen through every nervous laugh and change of topic. Cinnabar, kind Cinnabar, happier Cinnabar.

She hoped they didn’t blame themself. They probably didn’t.

Or did they?

Did Opal know them as well as she thought she did?

It was midnight, she thought. Sitting on the cliff, staring at the sky. Contemplating. Remembering.

It wasn’t anyone’s fault but her own.

“I get being careful, but you’re treating me like I’m made of glass.”

They say that with some irritation which is, perhaps, understandable. The irritation, at least, not objecting to being treated vaguely carefully. Objecting is rather unreasonable for someone who looks incredibly similar to something spun of sugar.

        “Are you telling me you’re not?”

Especially for Berserker, who when not careful tends to be ‘accidentally violent’. They look so very delicate, it’d be far too easy to break something. Well -- fine. If they insist, he’ll disregard them a little more than he has been.. sort of.

Well, that’s too bad, considering he’s already leaned in and kissed them like it’s no big deal. It’s what he does as soon as they greet him at the door, in fact.

†: Did they come from a religious family/culture?

No, I actually think Blue probably doesn’t know anything about religion.  None of his biological family is religious.

I definitely could see the family he was adopted into being religious but Blue was never part of it, I don’t thin he has any beliefs.

☣: Have they ever been severely ill? If so, did it leave an effect on their overall health in the long run?

I don’t know about like severely ill, but he definitely has lasting health problems from all the drinking.  Probably ulcers or like high blood pressure at least.

💔: Have they ever had their heart broken? If so, why or how did it happen?

Yes!  Blue had Cara, his girlfriend of several years.  She helped him a lot and they really liked each other for a long time before Blue turned into a piece of shit.  He definitely thought she’d always be around and took her for granted.  

“Ahh, that sounds great baby, you know just what I like~”

He says in a hoarse voice, before his typical loud, obnoxious laughter turns into a coughing fit.  After which, Blue sighs and flops back down on the bed.  All day he’s been stuck in the apartment, unable to stand without stumbling around.  Fever making him dizzy, cold one second, and hot the next, he’s a wreck.

“Shinsha I’m too bored, I want to get up!”
