Hang on, so in Klingon mythology, Kortar, the first Klingon, and his partner slew the gods, and this is such a respected and romanticized part of the Klingon Mythos that the story is re-enacted as part of a traditional Klingon wedding.
But Barge of the Dead tells us that Kortar was punished for killing the gods and was condemned to ferry the barge that takes Klingons to Gre'thor (Klingon Hell) for all eternity.
Why? From a literal standpoint, what power higher than the Klingon gods is condemning Kortar to this fate? From a mythos standpoint, why did the Klingons decide that Kortar should be punished for killing the gods when it's a highly respected part of their mythos?
