I'm thinking 2 and 3 for HanWen, don't know who is 2 and who is 3, but it feels very them.

And 10 for HanZhou - either way!!

10. "I think... I'm in love with (Name)" || "Congrats on being the last one to find out"

It’s a courtship. Technically. The technical term for what is unfolding – and has been unfolding, and will probably continue taking its time unfolding because Zhou Zishu doesn’t know what the fuck he is doing – is a courtship.

That, of course, brings along images of awkward teenagers dressed in their best robes shuffling through decorated garden paths while avoiding both eye contact and conversation, and their entire family observes from the sidelines.

It’s – well. It’s not far from the truth.

Zhou Zishu has never courted anyone in his life; he has never had much interest in either the process or its goal. Whatever dalliances he’s had in the past were quite short-lived, and often just the quickest way to get information out of someone. He usually can be charming enough to get what he wants. He can tell how people respond to him and adapt accordingly, but none of that—

None of that is useful, now.

Wen Kexing is no help. His approach to every unfamiliar undertaking is imitation and exaggeration of what he believes – with not quite unfailing accuracy – that regular people do. He’s not much better than he was when he was chasing after Zhou Zishu under his Philanthropist Wen persona, just letting a little more teeth show.

But that’s something, at least. He’s doing something, and it’s an effective if crude way to communicate his intent.

Zhou Zishu is just – hedging, and backtracking, and second-guessing.

And he is, technically speaking, courting Han Ying, but he is doing a miserable job at it.

Maybe it’s easier for Wen Kexing because he and Han Ying have no history. Wen Kexing doesn’t have to keep reminding himself that he’s allowed to squeeze Han Ying’s shoulder in passing, that it won’t be minscontrued by anyone as a sign of favoritism that’d mean trouble for them both. Wen Kexing doesn’t catch himself avoiding Han Ying’s gaze whenever it turns soft, because he’s too-well used to refusing to acknowledge it.

The more Zhou Zishu tries, the more he realizes how much he had been holding back for years when it came to Han Ying, concealed from even himself.

“I think,” he tells Wen Kexing one day, speaking up abruptly enough that he startles himself, “I think I’m in love with Ying’er.”

The two of them are sitting in the shade under a tree, and Han Ying’s a little ways off with Chengling. It’s the warmest summer day they’ve had so far, far too much so to consider training until the sun is down. So they’ve left Bi Xingming and Cheng Zichen nominally in charge of the manor and taken the day to themselves, not that they’ve wandered far.

Han Ying is laughing loudly at something Chengling is telling him, and then he turns to glance towards Zhou Zishu and Wen Kexing with a bright smile still on his face, and the realization hits Zhou Zishu out of nowhere.

Jupiter / Jiul Avariss (skuntank)26 . 6′4″ just wants money to pay rent… she’s worked 2 jobs simultaneously before (it was awful), and this one pays the most. she just wants the luxury of buying things without looking at the price tag you know?? she’s the most level-headed of the three. lawful/neutral evil

Oh god. Rooming? With one of these bitches? I think I have to pick Jing Beiyuan, any version, cause he'll be mostly quiet and sleep and we have a similar philosphy in regards to: world evil bed cozy lazy good, but then I'll also get to hear about all the drama he's tangentially involved in.

So this one is mostly written, but requires some rewriting and edits that I've been putting off for some time, mostly because I'm not sure what to do with it then. It makes sense as a standalone, but it's actually the answer to the question posed in my all's fair in truth or dare fic, aka: what happened when Han Ying was seventeen that made him realize he was attracted to men?

A couple of other fun things going on in there:

And a little snippet for you, which is just me using a one-off OC to say nice things about my boy:
