just rambling to myself since all of the epic pieces came out
Vergil, Nero, Ina in the Ithaca Era of it.
Vergil coming back after (Enter how long Capcom decides to keep Dante and Vergil in The Underworld) slicing through a general type of demon now (main enemy aiming again to go after a son/family tree of Sparda. usurp/kill Nero).
I like to think some of them are similar to Trish but they can take shape of humans instead of just being made to look like one.
Ina being used to "Vergil" the exiled son of Sparda appearing at the doors of Devil May Cry now almost every damn day. The first time was pretty shocking for everyone involved, thinking the longer grey haired man had passed at the gateway.
Then an evil cackle as the demon finally broke character and lunged at Nero. Ina practically throwing her daughter and the other kids into another room. Dragging Kyrie by her shoulders too.
A full fledged attack though being planned as the pawns being sent out never came back, assumed dead. Now hearing the hypothetical of a wife Vergil may have left behind. Along with the possible kin of Nero's.
That's when the real one appears, slicing through a few by the front door of the building.
"You don't think I know this building, my brother built it."
I'm too lazy to go into specifics of the fight but after, no one quite sure if it's really him or not. Ina standing silently in a door frame, dirt and blood on her from in the heat of battle. Just staring at him.
"Is it really you standing there?" He sheathes his sword, before turning to her. Red hair now faded out to the dark brown.
"You look different, your eyes look tired." She doesn't move to him, waiting in case a strike happens. Vergil taking it as not dismissal nor acceptance. Weaving somewhere in the middle.
"I am not the man you fell in love with. But I know you have been waiting, you and Nero. My path is still as dark and stained with blood as when we once met, but I am back."
"If that is true, can you just do something for me very quickly. You see that book, over there on the desk. I want you to get rid of it, take out the poetry in it." His eyes follow her finger as she points to the bound brown book, swirls of gold adorning and a large V right in the center. From when a child had wrote his initial, so his twin wouldn't be able to steal it.
"How dare you say that? I got this as a child, carried it with me everywhere. I quoted it to you when we first met, William Blake at that. A symbol of my identity as a human, do you know what you ask of me? The only way to get rid of it is to burn or tear it apart." His eyes are furious, tone stern but still emotional. Thoughts raging behind his gaze at her, at the same time however he notices her stance relax.
"Only V knew that, so I guess that makes him you."
