HTF rant
I love Happy Tree Friends and all but I wish the creators did a bit more research on PTSD and DID (not to mention OCD for Petunia) before writing Flippy :(
The way Flippy is portrayed is horrible rep for those who suffer from DID and PTSD. It stereotypes those with the disorders as âmurderous and dangerousâ when most of them really arenât. Yes some of them are violent but not as bad as itâs portrayed in Happy Tree Friends. Say Iâm looking too far into it for a show thatâs literally just about cute animals being brutally murdered but my point still stands. As far as Iâm concerned the only mental issue they wrote correctly (at least it was relatable for me as someone with anxiety) was Flaky and their anxiety.
Edit; scratch that. The anxiety is a stereotype too.
