Anime I Love - Kono Minikuku mo Utsukushii Sekai
I think this was the very thing that created the “anime consciousness” within me. Either that or Angelic Layer. Sure, you’re wondering why a Gainax anime is here since I would normally be averse to such things...it’s just luck of the draw. Also Gurren Lagann is a Gainax anime and people like that, so what’s wrong with me liking this?
I only saw 5 episodes but…the OP! The OP is awesome. Plus Yoko Kanno who is known for Neon Genesis Evangelion, but this OP is so underrated in her resume.
The concept of Takeru becoming a monster was also something that has changed me in the sense that since I was exposed to a Gainax anime when I was relatively young, I ended up “weird” (to most other people’s views). Not to mention the fact I went on a trip to America when I was 10 (I haven’t quite gotten as in line with some of my primary school friends since) and I am an Aquarius midheaven which means I was always kinda weird from the outset, but this anime probably made me “weirder” because it made me love transformations beyond Sailor Moon. It’s probably the reason I like gender bender anime - not “girl dresses as a guy”, the other sort.
Unfortunately, the 5 eps I was exposed to were the ending 5, meaning I had a mind screw that I couldn’t make sense of unless I used the internet – please AnimeLab. I want to see the rest of this!!
