Maystelid day 6 - Kolonok

12. How old are they? When is their birthday?

D: Actually 100-ish, but looks like a very short 14 year-old; born in October in the early 1900′s

K: 31; born April 21st

13. What do they do for fun?

D: CAUSES PROBLEMS, STARTS FIGHTS, IS FERAL

K: Watches people, and tries to learn how to play chess

14. What is their favourite food? How often do they get to eat it?

D: AB+, not as often as he’d like

K: He can’t remember what it used to be, but these days he likes to bolt back tins of sprats. It’s not the most common foodstuff in the Zone, but he gets to have that at least a couple times a week.

15. What was something their parents taught them?

D: How to sew patches onto clothes, how to chop wood, things that were useful at the time but are functionally useless nowadays

K: He hopes they taught him something good, but he doesn’t remember

25. What is their biggest flaw?

D: Small vampire too feral for words, he's got a hideous temper and throws tantrums at the drop of a hat

K: Because he’s got Monolith-brain, sometimes he gets a little too brutal and no-mercy

26. Are they aware of their flaws?

D: Yes but he unfortunately doesn’t give a fuck, because he’s a RAT

K: Yes, and it’s something he’s working on. He doesn’t like causing that much unnecessary bloodshed

27. What is their biggest strength?

D: He’s shockingly resilient, it seems like nothing can actually take him down

K: Not feeling pain is pretty useful, but he’s also extremely lucky in that he’s able to interact with regular stalkers effectively

28. Are they aware of their strengths?

D: Yes, and it’s one of his biggest points of pride, he will BRAG about this

Personality: Appears calm and in-control at all times, making him incredibly difficult to read. Never shouts in anger or frustration, only when volume is actually needed to be heard. Protective of other ex-Monolithians, particularly those who’re struggling to adapt, but prefers to avoid starting fights; usually opts to try and defuse the situation instead. Enjoys gifting things to people he comes to care about. Prefers to travel alone, but sometimes escorts rookies if they ask nicely.

Trivia: - Despite no longer being under the Monolith’s control, [name] doesn’t seem to have let go of it completely. He still wears the suit, and says Monolith where one would normally say God (“Monolith dammit”, “What in Monolith’s name-”, etc). Sometimes, when times get particularly tough, he can be heard mumbling a quiet prayer under his breath.

- Regardless, he shows no signs of being actively controlled, and in face seems to be able to integrate with ordinary Stalkers with relative ease.

- His calm and controlled demeanour slips when he’s asleep; whatever dreams or nightmares come to him often make him twitch, cry out, and/or groan like a man in excruciating pain. The latter is extremely odd as, like some other ex-Monolithians, he doesn’t seem to feel or recognise pain.

- For the above reasons, he tries to sleep away from others.

- Like his alias suggests, he’s extraordinarily agile, and has no problem clambering up the sides of various buildings and structures, and worming his way through tight spaces.

- Unfortunately, he has no memory of who he used to be prior to being taken by the Monolith. He is aware of his name and a few other tidbits, thanks to a journal in one of his old stashes, but doesn’t feel any connection to any of it.

- This also means he has no idea how or why he came to be in the Zone.

- Ultimately sees the Zone as something to be protected and respected, and is friendly with a lot of Freedom members because of this. Were he a less-controlled person, he probably would’ve had many scuffles with Duty by now.
