So the way I’d describe it is it’s just like food - different ingredients cause a different taste. I think everyone has an almost signature taste, unique to them, but you can also tell someone’s habits through their blood; if they smoke it can taste a little stale and bitter, if they eat unhealthily it can taste almost oily, if they drink a lot it can have a tinge of a burn, if they take a lot of drugs or the person is drunk there is a chance of getting the vampire high/drunk - it just depends on what that person does, and different vampires have different palettes. Some vampires like bitterness, the same way you’d like coffee. Some like sweet, some like salty, but some aren’t too picky (Megan) and will take whatever they can get.

Specifically though, some people are sweeter, some people are bitter, some people are saltier naturally, but I’d agree that attraction to someone does make their blood taste better! I mean, when you eat your favourite dish, regardless of if it’s made particularly well or not you still love it right? But every vampire has one specific taste that they hate, like their blood is totally incompatible with the vampire. It has a silvery taste and most vampires spit it out and wipe their tongue if they get a taste of it, but it’s very rare, usually only in people that have anaemia and vampires are attuned enough that they can tell someone is anaemic near immediately just from their symptoms and smell. There are the odd people that vampires can’t drink blood of through, usually people with serious illnesses because though vampires are powerful and heal quicker, they are still mortal, they may not be affected by a good amount of illnesses but they are still prone to some of them, so if they accidentally drink from someone without noticing they are sick there’s a chance it’ll taste horrible.

also now that we're in the topic of fangs, how long are Megan's fangs?? asking for science 🫦

I can imagine if the girls knew and everything was....normal....ish.... that they would RIP Megan any possible moment they could.

like she'd be laughing at Marz acting like total idiots and she'd laugh so hard it makes her fangs come out so she gets a little embarrassed but everyone is now HOWLING laughing because of it and she's like "guys.... GUYS.....PLEASE" "I COULD LITERALLY MURDER ALL OF YOU RN AND UR LAUGHING AT MY FANGS???" and Manon teases her by calling her vampire cat because when they pop out because she's feeling an emotion strongly she looks like it </3. They all totally tease her too because sometimes she catches her fang on her lip if she isn't paying attention and Sophia starts screaming "SOMETIMES MY LIP GETS STUCK ON MY TEEF" (iykyk)

Fr though, Megan's fangs are substantially bigger than a normal vampire's for story reasons (that WILL BE REVEALED LATER), they arent ridiculously long, but they sit over her bottom teeth and are pretty noticable when the are out, they look especially menacing when she smiles though (as cute as she is when shes got her fangs out and smiles, but we all know that in this universe, a smiling megan with fangs out usually means you arent gonna live to see the next hour)

that whole one shot is living in my mind rent free i can't stop thinking about it, i'm so down bad for whiny submissive blood drunk Megan and freaky dom Dani GODDDDD

Megan keeps holding back because she doesn't want to accidentally hurt Dani and she's afraid if she gets to taste her again she won't stop, but Dani is pent up and really annoyed with Megan for not doing anything when they clearly both want it, so she straddles Megan's lap, cuts her own fingers and forcefully shoves them in Megan's mouth

and Megan is just there, sucking and whining around Dani's fingers, looking up to her with watery eyes and dilated pupils because her blood just tastes so so sweet and she has never had anything like it before, her mind gets dizzy, her thoughts are only Dani Dani Dani, and Dani just watches her, face flushed, and completely lost in the feeling, lost in the warmth of Megan's mouth and- WAH AJSHHWAH i need to explode like actually

There are some story beats that I can’t spoil that would fully answer the question sadly, but yes, I’d say that Megan would be the possessive type. She’s the type that wants everyone to know what’s hers is hers and nobody else’s, even just in casual intimacy like a hand on the thigh or an arm around a shoulder. If it was up to her, I think she’d have Daniela marked up for everyone to see 24/7 🤭

But you are right as well that she’s very jealous when she loves someone. I wouldn’t say to a ridiculously toxic level of “why are you talking to them, are you cheating?” But I’d say the type that seeing someone else interact with her girl makes her blood boil because she’s begging for the opportunity to be alone with them. She’d show them how jealous she is as soon as she gets that chance 💞

She is absolutely crazy, I’d describe it maybe as half tortured, half torturer way? She’s a twisted woman, but the extent of that is something you will learn as the story goes on 🤭

Well when I was originally throwing ideas for a story onto paper, I had a couple of different ideas to go down, but vampires have always been one of my favourite mythologies, and I have always loved the idea of a truly morally repulsive character; a fully rounded person that makes bad decisions but isn’t the “I’ve been waiting for you mister bond” type of classical villain. Bad people are just as deep and complex as good people and I wanted to portray that through a character that I guess didn’t fit the bill? I wanted the juxtaposition of sweet/deadly, and out of all the Katseye members I felt like Megan fit that the best. I guess there is something to be said about the influence of yandere too on the character, a person who in my mind looks so sweet and innocent but is anything but because of obsession; I tweaked this and though Megan isn’t a yandere, the influence is still there. I did contemplate having Daniela be the vampire, but I thought that she would play the love interest much better because of her real life personality and her brightness; I couldn’t imagine tainting her bright personally as much as I could imagine doing with Megan. Her stage presence during beautiful chaos has also had a big influence on my decision too, because of how strong and intimidating her stage presence and especially facial expressions have been throughout!
