Sorry it’s a day late, but here’s some headcanons for what some of my rare pairs would do on an aquarium date for @bnhararepairweek, Day 1: Aquarium

IiHatsu

-Mei wants to see everything, not that Iida’s complaining

-They both take the time to read the information signs

-Mei sees a Whitley’s boxfish (see here) and from then on out refers to it as the “Tenyafish”

-There’s actually a boxfish plushie and Mei absolutely buys it for Iida. Being the gentleman that he is, Iida has to return the favor and, at her request, buys her one of those squid hats

KojiYui

-They just sit and hold hands while watching the jellyfish for like an hour

-They never knew there were manatees at the aquarium before going, so they are both surprised and happy to see the gentle giants (and proceed to watch them for like an hour too)

-They absolutely go to the stingray touch pool. A big one comes up and starts flapping at their hands and spooks Kujiro.

-They buy a bunch of cool seashells at the gift shop (and Yui buys a plush manatee)

TodoMomoKendou

-Watching the otters run and swim and play around is a must (Momo and Kendou are cooing over them and Todoroki thinks they’re acting cuter than the otters are)

-Debate over whether the correct plural for octopus is octopuses or octopi

-A sea lion screams at them and Kendou can’t stop laughing for like five minutes

-Momo buys a giant stuffed orca while the other two just buy a ton of rock candy for all three of them

KiriMina

-They go through the shark tunnel like 20 times

-They proclaim the Japanese spider crab to be an honorary Horn Buddy

-When they’re looking at the penguins, Kirishima does a near-perfect impression of one and scares the shit out of Mina

-They each buy those remote control shark balloons (Kiri gets a hammerhead while Mina gets a tiger shark) that they’ll probably use against their friends later

TokoTsuyu

-They like the giant reef tank with all the tropical fish and sea turtles

-Tsuyu loves watching the seals swim and frolic around

-Dark Shadow is constantly interrupting them to gawk at all the cool sea creatures

-They actually run into Selkie and Sirius there. Selkie does the cute face thing when he finds out they’re a couple (Fumikage doesn’t understand how Tsu thinks it’s cute)

And bondo legitimately thinks she smiles for everyone and is confused as to why she's labeled as stoic
