Flat white (2,9€) and a chocolate cookie (1€) from Koffee Lab 🧪☕️
Before I give my rating of my order and the café as a whole, let me just say that I ain’t coming back here. It’s just not my kind of café to be honest.
Rating: 5/5
The coffee: 4/5
I have only one complaint. It wasn’t hot, it was warm. Other than that it was perfect. The foam was somewhat creamy, it had a nice balanced taste of milk and coffee, it wasn’t bitter at all. The cookie on the side was yummy! It tasted like a salted brownie. I was impressed!
The atmosphere: 5/5
The place has a very chill vibe. It’s a small space, dimly lit with dark furniture. It kind of gives of restaurant vibes. The music was a little loud, but not disturbingly loud. When you walk in it feels like you’ve entered a restaurant… The baristas are right there behind a counter that resembles a ticket booth or a food truck. I’m terrible at descriptions. I wish I’d taken pictures, but I didn’t have the chance. I’ve never been to a café like this. It felt quite formal. I actually came to study, but I did not feel comfortable pulling out my laptop and putting it in the table. It feels more like a bar / restaurant type setting. You’re supposed to socialize. If I were to come back, it would be to either hang out with a friend or on a date.
The staff: 5/5
Absolutely lovely people. I think that their concept is based on having baristas that interact with the customers, which is actually pretty nice. Normally the baristas simply serve you your coffee and then sit by themselves in silence, but here they actually talk to you. Again, not necessarily ideal if you want to study.
