Does anyone know where I can watch an obscure kids anime called Takoyaki Mantoman? Legal or not? I’ve literally searched everywhere and haven’t been able to find it :/
There are DVDs of it for sale on Japanese websites but they’re stupid expensive so I refuse to buy them :/

Other???
The whole “anime is for kids” stereotype is so funny to me because alot of kids (kodomomuke) anime literally never makes it outside Japan. Aside from pokemon i don’t really think many have made an impact. Especially since there aren’t many kodomomuke on streaming sites like crunchyroll, and alot of them like anpanman lacked localization for a super long time.
What do you think?
((PS: Yugioh doesn’t count because it’s shonen, not kodomomuke)
The lack of kodomomuke anime, or even cartoons directed for kids is actually pretty concerning right now. At the same time, there are lots of cartoons/animes for adults whom many people still can't recognized due to the "cartoon/anime is just for kids" stereotype.
While I don't necessarily against such thing, I still have a fear that this phenomenon is actually trying to give us a clue that children nowadays are facing many hardship. One of them is the very well-know parents issue. Other concern of mine is, the still-existing cartoons/animes for kids are more focused on selling toys and make them as consumptives rather than giving them some beautiful message or relatable-but-heartwarming story. And some of the popular and lovable animes with those criteria are made long time ago or by someone who is no longer here, like Ghibli's old anime movies and Fujiko F. Fujio's work "Doraemon".
Looks like this is truly the age of 'when present replacing presence'.
