Kobold polycule where they pick the dommy-est among them to become a dragon, except instead of becoming a massive monster they just sprout some wings and get really, really smug about it. It works a little too well on the other kobolds
Imagine a group of lizardfolk/dragonborn/kobolds have one human in their group
Not because they are particularly skilled in something, or anything like that, they just explore colder climate areas and just really need a backup plan if other thing keeping them all warm fails
Now, this does mean that anytime it does fail at anytime, they will have to crawl in your tent and sort of have 4-6 scalies of different sizes under your sheets and clothes pressed against you from all sides, clinging to you closely and holding you tight all night.
And sure they might feel cold at first but in the morning, when they’re all warm, its a lot more cozy, and your scalies will be more than happy and thankful for you, you might even hear them growling or trilling when you wake up

Imagine a kobold clan in which adult kobolds take the name of the first item they steal upon reaching maturity (Sackacoins, Swordpile, Necklace). Very very impressive subsequent thefts might result in a kobold taking on a new name within the community (Dragonhoard, Magicblade, Princess). Kobold children are nicknamed in similar fashion, generally after what they grab for first when hatched, though it's not always so literal: Egg, Blanket, Papanose, Attention, Myheart.
Delightful little kleptomaniacs.
I must consider the possibilities in a little kobold wizard named Grimoire, and the tale of how they achieved that name.
