We’d like to clarify some miscommunication on our end regarding fic length requirements. The rules for fics were listed as such:

- Minimum 1,000 words - Must be complete when posted - If multichapter, the entire work must be posted by the posting period deadline (Dec 30)

Which lead to some confusion, especially rule 1 vs rules 2&3. We’d like to elaborate: 

Regarding rule #2: If you have published the 1,000 word requirement, your gift is “complete.” The 1,000 words can be posted in one chapter or ten, but once they’re up on Tumblr, your gift is marked “complete.” 

Regarding rule #3: “Entire Work” refers to those first 1,000 words. Any works over the 1,000 is considered “bonus” for the gift. (The artists’ “bonus” equivalent would be making 2 pieces instead of one, or working on a larger canvas, etc.) TL;DR If your work is 1,000 words and multichapter, the 1,000 need to be published within the posting period. If your work is over 1,000 words and multichapter, the chapter(s) containing the 1,000 words need to be posted during the posting period. Any chapters going over 1,000 words are bonus and can be posted at your leisure.
