Frozen Knutehytta by Ron Jansen Via Flickr: Due to a lack of snow so far this year :-( I have to resort to an older image to wish you Happy Holidays! ----- Knutehytta (730 m above sealevel) catches the first sunrise colors at 8:59 on an icy cold morning. It's located on the tree line and the only cabin high up on the Knute mountain. Opened in february 1929 and not changed much since then, it was originally built for Kongsberg’s sportsclub. Its popularity in the area fastly increased and it has been a public cabin since a long time. Knutehytta is a very popular destination both during summer (hiking, mountainbiking, fishing or just enjoying the views) and winter (offering a nice selection of crosscountry tracks). They serve good waffles :-)
