In the spirit of the holidays, thank you to everyone who gave me drama and went out of their way to make my life miserable. It taught me patience and how to appreciate the friends who did their best to be there for me while dealing with their own mess.
Thanks to the guys I never had a chance with and the one I probably should have taken the chance with. It taught me the pain of loneliness and making sure to treat everyone how I want to be treated.
Thank you to my family for the drama, the love, and everything in between. It taught me that love is unconditional, life is hard, and there are things I need to hear even if I'm not ready to accept them.
Thank you to the ones who tell me I live a "ritzy lifestyle" and that I don't understand what it's like to struggle. It reminds me to never forget where I came from, what I struggled through, and that I never need to explain myself to people who think I'm entitled.
Thank you to the man who stayed past the honeymoon phase. He taught me that love isn't always rainbows and butterflies, the feeling of someone I can rely on and would never betray my trust, and that there's more to life than the next season on Netflix and the next episode of depression.

People with genuine smiles catch my attention. There isn't a clear way to describe a genuine smile. It's as if the smile spreads from their lips to the rest of their face and radiates to the people around them. These are the people who sincerely wish good upon others when they smile. The smile makes up for anything they can say with words.
I either feel deeply or not at all. There is no in between. Maybe that's why I'm not good at friendships.
