Hi Trunglr this is fucking driving me crazy
How are u supposed to go around the whole sock this way. With the amount of times it's telling me to turn I would just end up working the first half of needle 1 over and over???? Am I simply a Fool????

Please help me I am so mathematically challenged: This chart is 120 stitches. My head is approximately 25.5 inches in circumference (at least where I want the hat to sit).
How do I calculate what weight of yarn to use? 120 divided by stitches per inch until it's close to 25.5? Some other way?
Knitting friends, do you how of a tutorial or how to make a top like this ?
Pattern help!
I’m working on the Vilma Top and I’m working on the LEFT FRONT I’m looking what to do next since I’m almost done with the section and will soon be going to the NECK SHAPING and it says
“(note: if you added more length to the body, A new Pattern Section (eyelet repeat) may only be started in Neck Shaping Row 1, not later)”
lol anyone who has worked on this top before know what that means I legit have no idea what that supposed to mean
Thank you!
Is there a good way to design double sided double knitting projects? I've been using a spreadsheet and it's working, but at what cost (maybe I'm just not good at spreadsheets). I also have done the charts on paper and could cut them into strips and glue them back together but that doesn't sound too great either

Oooooops. Most of the way through grafting this knitted-sideways fingerless mitt, I finally try to try it on and... can't. The edge is WAY too tight from the floats being carried up every other row. It barely stretches at all.
Any advice on a stretchier edge in stripes? All the techniques I can find advertised for garter stitch selvedges or striped selvedges are about the look of the thing (which I don't mind at all), not elasticity.
(The pattern is Montes in the book Short-Row Colorwork Knitting and it makes no particular mention of selvedges.)
Attention advanced knitters! I have a question!
I'm knitting a Deadpool and Wolverine sweater, and I've decided one of the sleeves will sport slash marks and claws.
I really like the idea of steeking where the slashes will go, but I've never steeked before. (The one steeking project I have has been in timeout for a couple of years, so I've never reached the actual "Oh dear god what am I doing *slicey slicey*" step.)
I know that the whole strip of extra stitches that make up the steek are there to give it room to curl without taking from the body of the knitted item (I hope I worded that coherently).
But I dunno about extra stitches for the Wolverine slashes. They're not running the entire length of the sleeve, and I already have to increase periodically at both ends.
I also plan to knit basically garters (in black) to go behind the slashes, for depth and to keep out a draft 😅
What do you all recommend?
Do any crocheters/knitter know if any of this says the shade and dye lot ?
