Urianger: Has my character lost a loved one?
Zana has, both to death and to time. Her husband was lost to death, having died at Carteneau, and her previous lover, Rykka, was lost when the two grew and had the realization that they loved each other, but not romantically. She is, obviously, happier about the first one.
Y’shtola: What’s the highest level of education my character as received?
Zana’s education was as comprehensive as a middling tribal Keeper family could afford, and as such, she has a smattering of knowledge, although most of it is more practical, motherly wisdom. Stitched trousers, baked cookies, and the like. She does have quite a comprehensive knowledge of blacksmithing, martial combat, and, more recently, of the mechanics behind Machinistry, courtesy of her time spent in Ishgard. A lesser talked about talent of hers is a propensity for conjury. She also has a talent for ice magic, but as it isn’t a knowledge, but more just raw potential, then it doesn’t really fit into education

That would be admitting to having strong feelings for the potential consort in question. Love is a spear that drives a hole into the heart and weakens it, a bargaining chip or an easy opening for those who would seek to harm you in whatever way possible. It also has this annoying habit of showing your underbelly to unnecessary emotional distress. What if they do not respond favorably? Or worse yet, what if they do? They change everything, those words. They strip and tear the most delicately woven fabrics of life, introduce danger to the lives of those you care for, and make things all-around less comfortable for all involved.
Love is a bothersome aspect, and its intricacies of involvement (both for the allegedly beneficial and detrimental) have the potential to ‘undo’ me in a matter of minutes.”
