Kento Nanami x reader has a curse.
This is part of some headcanons that I made a while ago. For a recap, Kento met his partner in college and got married. This one-shot type of thing Y/n curse is activating because Yuji ate Sukuna's finger.
We know because Yuji ate Sukuna’s finger that some curse activated. So what if Y/n had a curse that Yuji triggered. Namani doesn’t have to heart to tell Yuji; Goji’s theories came true of how dangerous Nanami can be.Â
—
Y/n woke up to a slew of text messages from old elementary and high school friends. To their surprise, some of their classmates were murdered in the most brutal way possible. But there was one thing in common they died in front of a mirror. Y/n tried to fight back the tears. Their husband still hadn’t left for work, and they didn’t want to worry him. He came in with a big smile with two cups of coffee, but his smile soon faded once he saw his partner's hand was covering their face. He placed the cups on the bedside table and rushed to them. He kneeled on the side of the bed and held their free hand. “What happened?” He asked with concern.Y/n showed him the phone, and he could tell it was a cursed spirit doing.Â
After much comfort, Y/n calmed down, but there was a worry that Nanami felt. “You should call off Y/n,” Kento said, getting ready to leave for work. “I can’t call off work. After the patchwork face incident, I reached my PTO limit. And while we're on the subject of him. Be safe. He’s still out there.” Kento sighed, knowing they were right. They used up all their time to take care of him until they were 100% “I’m always careful, and thats why I wear my wedding ring to work as a neckless.” He went to kiss his excellent partner on the forehead and, without breaking away, “I promise I’ll be careful. Just promise me that you’ll be safe and take it easy.”
At work, Kento wasn’t off his game. He was more worried about his partner. Gojo noticed and forced it out of him. “I received the call about that case this morning. It’s brutal. How are they holding up?” Gojo said concerned about Y/n. “They're alright, but on that note, Nobara, you like cute things, right?” Nobara stiffed up, confused about this “umm, yes, why sir?” Gojo and his three students were with Namani because Gojo thought it would be a learning experience for them “I want to buy something nice for my partner r, and I don’t take an interest in childish things; however, they do.” Nobara told him where to get the best plushes and blankets then the conversation shifted to the curse that Y/n’s past friends endured. For some reason, Gojo pushed on this topic.Â
“From what I know, the closest thing that could be a curse is a game some friends played at Y/n old school. Bloody Marry, I believe.” Nanami said, resting against a wall as their lunch break started. Could they have played that game? Yuji said, putting the pieces together thats when Kento's eyes opened wide, “No, they never liked to mess with anything of the supernatural.” something in Yuji was telling him to press even further. “I mean, peer pressure is a killer, wouldn't have they tried it at least once. Hey ouch! Nobara, what was that for!” Yuji said as he rubbed the back of his head. Then Fushiguro pulled Yuji close to him. “Read the room, Yuji! Nanami never talks about his spouse at work. He splits home and works, so shut your mouth and stop making him worry.” Nanami paid no mind to it. He knew that everything would be alright until Ijichi ran up to Nanami, short of breath. “Sir, It’s your spouse; you and Gojo are now in charge of the Bloody Mary Case.”Â
-Y/N pov-
Work was a pain. My boss told me I could take time off. I don’t need that time off. I’m in the bathroom of my work, trying to forget everything that happened. I thought about calling my husband; however, I would go to voice mail, and Ijichi would have to take a message. I will never entirely approve of his job, but I can support him. The patch-face guy opened my eyes to what he goes through every day. I wanted to tell him to quit, but being a sorcerer sucks less, and him being a businessman was killing him slowly. He barely had time for anything, and it was always “I’m working so we can have money, so with that money, I can buy you anything that you want.” I told him repeatedly that I don't want his money and that money couldn’t buy him back if he dies. What would money buy me then?Â
As I went to wash my hands, the lights in the bathroom flickered. Great, another loose light bulb. Then my stomach felt sick. I wondered if this was a cursed spirit doing something. I put on a pair of glasses that Kento gave me that allowed me to see curse spirits. There was an ugly purple monster crawling out of the mirror. I froze. I couldn’t move until it clawed at my arm. I screamed and flung the curse off, but it had a firm grip on me. Kento gave me a few cursed tools for this occasion. I grabbed a pencil that I had brought with me to the bathroom by accident. I then stabbed the curse, and it let out a yelp, getting angered, and even more came out of the mirror. The curse let go, and I ran out of the restroom, not knowing what to do. I can't just leave in the middle of work. Then the whole bubbling started to shake. It was coming down. The curse was going to destroy the building looking for me. Everyone was evacuating, and I called Kiyotaka since Kento has a no-call rule while he’s working, only texting and giving him a text like this well, thats a heart attack I do not want to provide him with. Calling Kiyotaka is best, so he can alert him once he’s at lunch. Work was canceled until further notice; the bathroom pipes burst, and no one could use any bathrooms.Â
Once I got home, I put towels on every mirror, waiting to be in my husband's arms. Where’s it safe. I put on his hoodie and sat in a corner with all the cursed gear that I could find. His hoodie of curse smelled like him. All I could do was hope it was all a nightmare. Why would a curse be after me? The front door burst open, and I heard Kento’s voice, “Y/n! Are you in here?” He cried out, hoping I was home. “Yes!” I ran downstairs and leaped into his arms. “Ouch, I’m I invisible to you, Y/n?” Gojo joked, watching as Kento looked more relaxed. “Nanami, this is your house! It looks so nice!” Yuji said as his eyes lit up. Then Norbara spoke up, “So this is what first-grade sorcerer money can get you. I like it!” Megumi then became even more annoyed and bonked them on top of their heads to stop them from daydreaming about having a house. “They worked all of their lives to get this house previously, and they lived in a crappy apartment. And no, they didn’t get this money from being a sorcerer. They worked hard.” Megumi was close to me as I treated him as a son, and Gojo was more of an uncle figure. He was a little jealous as I became close with Yuji inviting him to go shopping. I called it a sibling rivalry.Â
Kento cupped my face. “I’m so sorry, my dear.” He then kissed my forehead. We then sat down on the couch, and Kento made tea and covered me with a blanket. “When do you think you were cursed?” Gojo asked in a calm matter as his three students were taking notes. “There was this game called Bloody Mary. You had to spin around three times and call upon her with the light turned off. After it was done, I walked out and couldn’t remember anything for the rest of the day.” Kento didn’t sigh or show any other emotion, just pure concern. “Your friends who died, did they play the game?” Kento asked me, already knowing the answer but wanting clarification “from what I can remember, yes, all of them.” As I gave more information, Kento made a call. “Gojo and I will Exorcise the curse. Norbara, Yuji, and Megumi, you three stay here and protect my spouse.” They agreed with no hesitation.Â

“I’ll be back soon, love, I promise.” I kissed them on the forehand. They then cupped my face. “I know you’ll come back.” I looked at their arm and saw they had injuries from the curse that attacked them. “I’m fine, just a scratch. I’ll patch it up before you get home.”Â
Once Gojo and I reached the elementary school, he didn’t start with his crap. He was serious and quiet. It was nice, but I couldn't bask in it; I had to Exorcise this curse. There was a huge eerie black ball. I sighed, knowing that Sukuna's finger would be there. “I’ll make a veil,” Gojo said, and once he did, here came the curse. “I got this.” I loosened my tie and went at it.Â

It was short, maybe five minutes. Nanami used a black flash, and it was done. I never saw that look in his eyes, no sympathy insight. I was right. As long as his lover is in danger, he throws caution to the wind. If anything happens to them, hell will break loose. *ping* “How did it go?” It was a text from Mei “I was right. You know what that means.” I respond. “I’ll see what I can do to guarantee their safety. But first $$$,” Mei sent back. I rolled my eyes Kneto can end the world, but here’s Mei wanting her cut. “Alright, let’s go.” Kento was putting his tie back on and placing the finger in his pocket. “Give me, give me!” I said, wanting to give it to Yuji. “No, I have to give it to the higher-ups in the morning.” “You're not going to take the next day off?” I questioned. “I can’t. What if they get hurt again? I have to keep on fighting.” I don’t know how I’ll be able to stop him if Y/n gets hurt. The only way is to protect them with my life.

As we entered my home, the three kids were sleeping on the sofas, and Y/n must have put blankets and them. And my love was also sleeping on the couch. I started to carry them upstairs. “They can sleep here, Gojo. I’ll make breakfast, and yes, you can stay. It’s only fitting, but this is the only time you’ll be able to stay the night!” “And the finger?” I whipped my head around and hissed, “Be quiet. Yuji is here, and Gojo you better not tell him about the finger. He can never know. It’s not his burden to bear.” Once I reached the top of the stairs and entered the room, “Thank you, darling.” I chuckled and set them down gently. “Pretend to fall asleep so I could carry you, I see.” “Yup.”Â
We got dressed for bed. I saw their arm wrapped up. My heart still ached as Y/n sat at the edge of the bed. I kneel on the ground and put on their lap and benign to lose it. “I could have lost you. I’m not strong enough.” They patted my head and lifted my chin. “I’m ok, Ken, your strong, and you are enough. I’m ok, right? Take the day off tomorrow to relax. I know that's not in your vocabulary, but love, please.” I looked at them as they whipped my tears away and agreed. “I love you.”Â
