Now in its 14TH YEAR, the FRESH Annual Photo Award is presented by the Klompching Gallery, New York. What does FRESH look for? FRESH looks for the very best examples of new contemporary fine art photography. We’re looking for single bodies of work with a consistent vision and originality—photography that is FRESH! Reflecting how photography is understood across different platforms, FRESH thoughtfully incorporates the three elements of display, publication and dissemination: a 3-D virtual exhibition, a printed catalog and an online showcase. 20 Finalists featured online, and in a printed catalog. 5 Finalists selected for a 3-D virtual exhibition online. 1 Finalist wins the Rhonda Wilson Award (value c. $6,000 USD). 1 Finalist wins the People's Choice Award (value $500 USD). 1 Finalist’s wins the Klompching Edition Award (value c. $2,500 USD, based on sales). The FRESH PHOTO AWARD 2025 is judged by the owners of the Klompching Gallery. Rhonda Wilson Award: a Guest Judge is to be announced.

It seems like only yesterday when someone forwarded me a link to Phillip Tolendano's Days With My Father, a very moving site and critically acclaimed book. Mr Toledano, as his site proclaims, is at it again with a beautifully disturbing body of work called A New Kind of Beauty. A show of the work opens in New York (DUMBO) on Wednesday, September 8 from 6-8pm @ KLOMPCHING. And as I have pointed out before, KlompChing is a gallery worth visiting.
