Web 2.0, sometimes referred to as “Social Marketing,” is being touted as the “win-win” approach to building a business for the 21st Century. Riding on the coattails of discontent among people who have tried but failed with the old way of doing mlm, these innovators (sometimes called “renegades”) are literally creating a wave of followers that will bring major changes in the way many mlms are built.

The person most responsible for this is Ann Sieg. Partnering with her is a man named Mike Klingler. Her book The Renegade Network Marketer is being both praised and criticized. In the minds of some, she is the genius that has helped many people take away the fear of starting their own business . Her approach is in opposition to the old system., and she is critical of it. According to others, she is something out of hell and in their judgment should go back to where she came from.

There is a free book available through many sources entitled The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing. In this small e-book (35 printable pages) she addresses the following “lies” used by many, if not most, of the Network Marketing systems today.

If you have been involved in Network Marketing in any way, the list looks conspicuously familiar. In fact, because it is so familiar, it will cause you to think, “I wonder what she’s got that’s so different?”

After touching a nerve with a lot of people – people who still want to have hope of getting out of the rat race – they might just take the risk to order her book and give it a read. Ann offers an you a money back guarantee and she means it. When I first began researching Ann Sieg and the Renegade Marketing System, I read the testimony of a person who took her at her word: ordered the book, and then asked for his money back. He got it. Agree with her or not, it is nice to know there are people of integrity — when they say something, they back it up with action. I applaud her for that.

Mike Klingler, founder of Renegade University, says the day he read Ann’s book, he threw away all previous practices and turned his team toward this new system. This is quite a recommendation from someone who is already successful in Network Marketing. Together they are making a splash in the Network Marketing world by promoting what is also referred to as “Attraction Marketing.”

The concept is really very simple. Instead of making a list of family, friends, and anyone else your memory jogger might bring to mind, you place yourself in the position where good, qualified prospects are coming to you. But, it does not happen overnight. There is marketing to be done to accomplish your goals. One of the biggest criticisms Ann has with Network Marketing is that the networking may be present, but the marketing is missing. And it is the marketing that she believes is the missing ingredient in Network Marketing. Ann Sieg and Mike KIingler have merged their concepts together and “Voila”, “The Renegade Network Marketer” spawned the beginning of “Renegade University.”

A close cousin in the mix is Mike Dillard with his writing of “Magnetic Sponsoring” and “Building on a Budget.” The idea is similar. Change your approach in building your business from calling, writing, inviting, etc. people and trying to interest them in your business to learning how to attract (like a magnet) people who are already interested in beginning a Network Marketing business but need the guidance on how to begin and succeed.
