"Memories of Spring"
The thing about intuitive abstract painting, is that I don't always have a clear idea of what I'm going to create when I sit down to start. I generally have an idea of the 'vibe' I'm going for an the colours I'm going to use, but otherwise, I just kind of turn my brain off and go with the flow. I was really happy with how this one turned out, especially the 'softness' and flow it has.

I painted this intuitive abstract watercolour painting while listening to the Stormlight Archive (I think it was my second listen-through and I'll do another before Stormlight 5 comes out) - I couldn't help but call it "Windrunner". Usually I really struggle to find titles for my work but this one was a no-brainer.

Honestly kind of annoyed with myself about this one because I spent hours on the wreath and then fucked it up by having the lettering not quite in the centre. Iβm still new to the lettering thing. I would say inspired by our recent trip to the reef, but since I spent most of that time dealing with two very seasick children, perhaps itβs better to say this is an idealistic version of the reef π€£ Either way, Iβm really enjoying getting back into painting!
