The Belvedère on Klausberg in Potsdam was built for Frederick the Great by Georg Christian Unger 1770 - 1772, immediately following the completion of the Neues Palais. It is conceived - to a certain degree - as a double-storied Tempietto with freestanding columns; with arched windows and sculptures to the cresting. Rather delicate and exposed, it was severely damaged in the war and rebuilt in 1990.
