Tate Langdon:
-He really doesn’t care all that much, but when he sees that you care, he might just slick his hair back and bring wine
-Considering he’s dead, it’s a little awkward when you’re like “Hey, Tate and I are dating!”
-and Tate just says, unphased “And I’ve been dead since 1994!”
-He’s not really stressed at all about it. He shakes hands (to his ability ofc) and probably thanks your mother for making a hottie, which obviously takes her aback
-keeps whispering judgements in your ear about your parents
-they think he’s alright... but are more glad that you’re happy
Kit Walker:
-nervous, but is slightly confident and very optimistic
-puts the kids in pretty clothes and tells them to be nice and respectful but is mostly just talking to himself
- ”We gotta be nice to them, alright? I want to make them my family too.”
-he brings your mother a bouquet of pretty flowers that the kids helped pick and he spent ten minutes trimming. He chuckles nervously a lot but otherwise, he presents himself as a charming father who is in love with their child
-talks to your father about cars and talks to your mother about your childhood and they like him and the children very much
Pre-Death Kyle Spencer:
--Nervous wreck, but he doesn’t show it when he does meet them. Beforehand, he’s pacing, changes his shirt forty times and rubs his eyes over and over so that maybe he’ll look more lively.
- “Do I look like a dick?”
- ”No, Kyle, you look fine.”
- ”I feel like I look like a dick.”
-He doesn’t know what to do with his hair and stresses over that
-Your parents welcome him in and he is very stiff-standing. It’s a little awkward, but he shakes hands and eventually warms up as the time goes on. He tells his awful dad jokes which your father enjoys and your mom thinks he’s sweet
Post-Death Kyle Spencer:
-You present the idea which makes him nervous more than anything else. You find him rocking on his bed, hands in his hair and go to comfort him and tell him it’ll be alright
-You help him get ready and fill him in on what your parents are like and he nods, still stressing out.
-Once at your parents' place, Kyle picks a single flower from the garden outside and brings it in for your mother. You tell them that Kyle is a little challenged from an accident he was in and they entirely understand
-Kyle tries to help your mom in the kitchen but knocks over the sugar bowl. He’s forgiven, it’s not a big deal, but he immediately starts stressing again and you hug him to calm him down
-At dinner, Kyle uses his proper manners and makes sure to tell your parents how he really feels about you.
- “I... love... them.” He points with his fork at you, which your mother finds adorable. They like him.
Jimmy Darling:
-Prepared to charm his way to your parents’ hearts. Washes up, shaves, slicks back his hair, put on a nice shirt and actually does it up. He’s pretty much ready to go until he looks in the mirror at his hands and shrinks back a bit.
- “Are you sure your parents want you dating a freak?” He asks, putting on his gloves. You know he doubts himself as a person because of his hands so you stand in front of him and tell him it doesn’t matter. He sighs, but sticks it out.
- Your parents don’t notice his hands, which surprises Jimmy a lot. He brought dessert and your mother took it gratefully to the kitchen, right from his hands without staring.
-Your father shakes Jimmy’s hand without making a face or staring and Jimmy is filled with a feeling of welcome that he’s never really had before. His charm comes back and he engages in conversation
-Does accidentally make a sex joke but your parents just laugh at it. They enjoy his company and think that you two are a match made in heaven.
-On the way out your mother says, “Better bring me some babies soon!” and Jimmy looks at you and shrugs, but really is just wallowing in how great it feels that she doesn’t care at all about his deformity.
I hate everyone after season 4 so that’s where I must end!
