kittydroid & the song "tomcat disposables"
LONG RAMBLE!
"So here's where i'll be raising my kids, if i can find someone to start a family with" = Dotte's loneliness, and her family. For context, her mother was created to be a killer robot (akin to the t-800 (terminator franchise), or a disassembly drone (murder drones)), but as the years passed, she reprogrammed herself to raise a kitbot (diminutive of kittydroid), even though robots don't have the biological capability of having a child. she had to create her out of the interdimensional symbol at 19 years old, but it took her several attempts, and one successful attempt. this successful attempt was Dotte, formal name known as DOT.5073 T805V. since her mother died at a young age (25 years) from a untreated virus, her child (Dotte) had to learn more stuff independently: She doesn't want a "child", because her mother died to something that kills and hurts robots, and she doesn't want to die young and repeat a cycle.
"Is there cheese in the great beyond?" = a minority of robots used to worship the interdimensional symbol as it was known as an otherwordly and unknown force at the same time, and still is.. but more known.
"do i belong in right and wrong?" = dotte's npd, bpd, and trauma of having her mother lost at a young age forces her own mind to be contradictory at times.
"but then winter came inside for three nights" = quite the opposite for the kittydroid universe as it was summer for six months, which forced more trauma on the robots due to more overheating. these traumatized robots were then soon abandoned in a closet, with many of their faces broken, like a broken or cracked phone screen. after the six-month summer period, some robots began to activate on their own with the power of an interdimensional symbol. but nobody knew what was its' name or where it came from, just that it was akin to a "mutation". These robots, combined with the power of that symbol, began to kill other non-robots and fuse them internally with their own body. a minority of robots didn't due to empathy and/or sympathy, but majority wanted to due to the so-called overheat-caused mutation on their operating system.
"my struggles had a happy ending" = robots never wanted to be abandoned, but most were traumatized. these who were heavily traumatized and also abandoned had rust on their bodies and/or developed trauma-caused mental disabilities, with some having both, some having neither, and some having only one. most of these who were both mentally disabled and had a rusted body, well, the interdimensional symbol mostly killed them, with a happy personal ending for some; but a minority were sentient, sapient and still alive.
there are also other songs that make sense to the book, but i'll post abt them later.
