I donāt clearly remember specific scenes from Daddy Long Legs, but Love Through a Prism gave me the same enchanting vibeādreamy, inspiring, almost magicalāonly LTAP is far more aesthetic and visually captivating.
The story is rivetingāone of those rare narratives that lingers with you long after it ends. It makes you fall in love with life, embracing both its highs and lows. It gently urges you to chase your dreams and listen to your heart. Though it doesnāt heavily rely on romantic scenes, the relationship between the main characters is deeply moving and maturely portrayed, especially considering the period and society in which the story is set. The supporting characters are equally lovable, and their individual growth arcs are just as compelling. I appreciate that the plot isnāt overly heavy, yet it carries an undeniable emotional weight.
Iām not particularly artistically inclined, but this series made me admire people who are blessed with hands and minds shaped for art. If youāre passionate about art, this is truly a perfect watch. Many scenes feel like living paintings, and the artworks created by the characters are masterpieces in their own right.
Iāve read many reviews, and most viewers seem dissatisfied with the ending. Personally, I found it predictable, but not entirely disappointing. In fact, everything felt fitting and beautifully resolved. The post-credit scene was a delightful bonus. Still, if a sequel were ever made, I wouldnāt complain, especially if weāre treated to a little more skinship next time. āŗļø
The story overflows with hope. Itās a feel-good series that will also bring you to tears. I rarely cry over anime, but this one truly moved me. I completely broke down when Professor Brant told Lili he was certain she was the woman in Kitās painting displayed at their exhibition in the National Gallery. And when the last page of Kitās sketchbook accidentally flipped and Lili read the words, āIāll take you there one day. Donāt forget the blue paint.ā That scene was a tear-jerker since she was already engaged and Kit abandoned his plan of inviting her with him back to England after learning sheās about to get married. He even bought her a ship ticket. š„²
Overall, Love Through a Prism is beautifully craftedāfrom its plot and animation to its lessons, episode progression, and character development. Itās the kind of story that stays with you, quietly coloring your heart long after the credits roll.
And so, just like what Professor Brant said to Lili, āRun! Your destiny awaits. And it will not wait for your foreverā, letās go and do some chasing of dreams!
