what do you use or consume the most ?Â
donât throw away the things you can still use, you can also find them an other function. If something breaks replace it with a reusable/sustainable/eco-friendly alternative, for exemple a broken plastic spatula, get a wooden one and see if you can first purchase it second hand!
- invest in a reusable water bottle
- plastic tupperware : donât throw them away, stock dry foods in it, or other objects such as wires, photos, importants documents etc. To stock left over food use reused glass jars (from pickles for expl) or stainless steel containers! Donât buy a bunch of new containers just for the aesthetic, start by saving the ones you already have and use them!
- paper towels/kitchen roll : cloth towelsÂ
- plastic sponges : wood brush and castle soap
- if you drink lots of coffee outside of the house, consider investing in a reusable coffee cupÂ
- instead of coffee pods and tea bags : coffee beans and tea leafs (bulk)
- make or buy some reusable bags for groceries, fruits and vegs, etc., every organic shops have them!
- ask for NO STRAW, or bring your bamboo/glass/stainless steel straw with you
-Â plastic cutlery can be replaced with your actual kitchen cutlery, no need to buy some need bamboo/wooden ones
- buy the ugliest fruits and veggies because nobody does so they will be thrown away...
- buy in bulk
- meal prep your food so there wonât be any waste
- compost your food scraps
- when you buy package food, make sure the package is made from glass.
- learn how to cook effectively so it wonât take all your time, prepare in advance, and cook from fresh veggies so you wonât buy almost anything already prepared.
- buy local/organic/seasonal food!
- reduce the amount of animal products you eat (meat, fish, dairy, eggs etc.) and go vegan!
- faites avec ce que vous avez autour de vous, nâessayer pas de faire du parfaitÂ
