our former roommate's bf accused us of stealing some of her things in the move and when we asked her about it and offered to return any of her stuff that we may have grabbed by mistake she said that it was "nonsense" and she had no idea what he was talking about. he even had a little list prepared! however, he's half way across the country and she said she never gave him any sort of list, and if we ahd taken anything she didn't care. anyway, two of the things he said we took we actually had (a broom from the dollar store and half a bottle of dish soap lmao) but peter had bought both of them and like... even had he not, neither of those are worth sending wildly abusive messages and then blocking peter when he politely offered to replace them.

ya'll deserve to have your names on the menu just as much as the head chef/chef de cuisine does. sure, they design the menu, but you guys are the reason it's there. without you it would just be the head trying to crank out dish after dish all at the same damn time. line cooks and dishwashers are the two things holding the entire industry together and i love and respect you guys so much. it's a thankless job sometimes (especially with the state of the industry) and ya'll deserve as much recognition as the person who tells you what to make. restaurants as we know them wouldn't exist without you cranking out sauce after veg after meat after starch. i have all the love in the world for you.

real talk if u work in a commercial kitchen AT ALL u know how important strong-smelling perfumes/colognes are. why? everything smells like:
smoke
fryer oil
cooked fish
smoking olive oil
dishwater
and you are not leaving without gaining one of those scents on your person.

this is a very important question: do you/can you wear a binder while working back-of-house, or do you recommend taking it off?
it's not good to wear a binder while exercising/doing heavy lifting but if you're not checking in deliveries or cleaning the fridges and really only doing mise or smth like that, can you still wear a binder?
