#kitchen monster

Got this idea from a discord server I'm on; based off the old "is your refrigerator running?" joke/prank call. I referenced a few old 50s-styled fridges since they fit the vibe of Earthbound; and I already have an appreciation for the rounded, sleek look that appliances and vehicles of that era had.

...And she gave me a lot. Told to start from the easiest one. I like to think I am pretty good at cooking/baking and stuff..

It's 1:30 AM and I'm starving. D: I went into the  kitchen to make some rice and when I opened the cabinet, I saw this giant bug MONSTER.

...So I ran all the way to the other side of the kitchen. Of course, my living room is right there and both my mom and sister fell asleep on each of the couches while watching TV. Which means as bad as I wanted to scream, I had to tone down my great fear to a whimper.

It's right over the cabinet now. The one which has the bag of freaking rice in it. There is no other option; there's nothing else to eat here. I have to make rice. But... that evil thing is guarding it. The light is on. Doesn't that scare bugs? Apparently not giant ones, because he's just sitting there, standing his ground.

I flicked the lights a few times -- nothing happened. All the spray is under other cabinets on that side of the kitchen, too. I can't get him with a shoe because I can't reach him without climbing onto the counter. I won't even consider that because if he fell I would scream and go toppling off that counter and onto the floor.
