I had Shield on preorder until today. I just can’t deal with all the negative shit going around (and I really shouldn’t be forking out the money this game costs right now anyway), and now I’m just sad and Pokemonless. I’m hoping some good reviews will come out after the release, with maybe some patches to improve the absolutely terrible stuff (like missing background). I do want to get the game, but until I’m sure I won’t feel ripped off for the price I want to wait
For what it’s worth, one of the big posts circulating right now is based off something that was deleted for being an unsubstantiated rumor, and it’s also based off a 2014(?!) review on glassdoor that hasn’t been translated (and may not even be true lol).
I honestly don’t buy anything that’s said until I can actually get my hands on the game myself. There’s a lot of rumors going around, and I don’t doubt that some of them are wild exaggerations or things to make the game look bad, so I’m going to be skeptical.
Thoughts on writing fanfiction? I joined AO3 and am thinking of trying to write something, but I don't know what I would write. (I need to exercise my writing muscles!)
i loVE fanfic, but writing it is difficult! getting characterisation right is a PAIN
if you need like, genres or somethin, i’m personally very biased towards the hurt/comfort area of fanfic; it probably makes up at least half of my (pretty big) ao3 bookmarks. but generally it’s like... you can get inspiration from looking at other fics :0 i know i’ve gotten most of my fic and drabble ideas from reading or yelling about stuff with people
