Jade couldn’t believe that it was already a new year but it was also her birthday too. She was thankful for a new year, last year was good to her. She had a great job, friends, and reconnected or made a meaningful connection with Kacey Huddington (who she wanted to be so much more than just friends with. She had a feeling he felt it too. Only time would tell). This year could only bring new memories and adventures she hoped. No hope. She was going to make it happen. Jades family couldn’t make it for New Years this year but they FaceTimed each other to catch up and ring in the new year together. A big surprise was when the clock struck midnight, they all sang Happy Birthday to her. She didn’t think they had forget because they were her family, but they were all busy with their significant others and lives that Jade wouldn’t have been surprised they didn’t say anything until the sun was up. Jade woke up to sweet birthday messages from her brother, sister, parents, coworkers and friends. It made her day. Jade slipped on her coat and grabbed Tater Tot’s leash starting her birthday morning off walking Tater Tot and enjoying the cool morning air.
