May I ask for the prompt ❛ you got me flowers? ❜ with Comic?
You didn’t know what prompted you to get him gardenias. You saw them on your way over to his place and immediately decided to buy them. Normally, you’re not an impulse buyer but something about those gardenias made you think of your friend who makes you laugh like you haven’t in years.
Now that you think about it, you weren’t sure if he’s a flower kind of guy. Sure, he seems like the kind of guy who may have one of those fake flowers that squirts water at you, but you couldn’t imagine him accepting and taking care of flowers. That’s silly. Comic, a funny guy who seems to have so much life in him doing something as soft and domestic as tending to flowers. The sunlight hits him like a spotlight as he’s working in a garden in his backyard. For the first time, he’s wearing overalls, but one of the straps are unbuttoned. He’s also wearing long brown gloves and a sunhat. He’s working a bit of a sweat as he’s planting and watering various types of plants. There are moments where he’s got a calm smile and moments where his brows scrunch together as he digs up the soil. Comic would wipe the sweat from his forehead, dirt smeared on his cheek. He would look up to you and smile like you were the most beautiful person in the whole world—
Wait.
Why were you thinking about that?
You didn’t realize you were in front of Comic’s house as you snapped out of that… whatever that was. Shaking your head quickly, you knock on the door.
It takes a moment before the door swings open and there stood Comic in his normal attire: hoodie, basketball shorts, a plain white t-shirt, and pink, fluffy slippers.
“Hey, kid,” Comic gives you his typical, casual smile. “Thought you were skipping out on our hangout.”
He eyes the gardenias in your hands.
“You got me flowers?” Comic asks.
“Oh yeah,” You look down at them. “That’s why it took me a while to get here. I just saw them on my way over and I thought of you. I’m really not sure why and it’s okay if you don’t like them—”
“Don’t sweat it, kid,” Comic chuckles as he gently takes the gardenias from your hands. “That was sweet of you to do. Thanks.”
You look up to see his eye lights and smile softening as Comic gazes at the gardenias. You swore you’re seeing Comic’s cheeks blush a little blue. Your heart skips a beat.
Huh?
“Anyways,” Comic’s gaze meets your eyes, all of the softness going back to his normal look. “How about we get inside? Papyrus hates waiting.”
You stare at him for a moment. Is… Is it normal that you felt something spark within you when you just met his gaze?
Comic raises a brow and says your name to shake you out of your trance. You blink.
“Oh! Right!” You exclaim as you follow him inside.
That was…
That was really weird.
