Prompt 2. “Just follow me, I know the area.”

“Just follow me, I know the area,” said Luche smugly, ducking under a low hanging branch along the dirt path and moving ahead.

Lindsay huffed at him in irritation, and angrily shoved the branch out of her way only for it to swing back and smack her upside the head. “Damnit!” she cursed whirling around preparing to hurl a fireball at the offending tree. A hand shot out from behind her and grasped her wrist.

“Are you trying to give our location away?!” whispered Luche into her ear jerking her arm down roughly.

“No!” she growled trying to shake him off. He tightened his grip.

“Then I suggest you cool it, or we’ll all be dead before the sun rises.”

“Shut up, Luche.”

A snap in the brush sounded nearby, causing both glaives to freeze listening hard.

“Hey, are you two done with your lovers’ quarrel? ‘Cause we got a base to blow, in case you forgot,” came an amused whisper from the darkness ahead.

“Shut up, Tredd,” they both said in unison.
