#igotastorytotell so I set up this photo shoot for @ifienatasha just to do something different and to have some pics on deck in case we ever needed some for anything we were going to drop. However because administration is not my strength I dropped the ball on following up with our photographer @takiaelamb about booking the studio, time etc. So the day of Aye is pissed as soon as I come home from work to get changed. She tells me about all my flaws and so on the way to the spot we were beefing. Not talking and if it was there was an attitude. So of course this shoot is suppose to show us all in love and stuff and at the time we didn’t even want to be in the same room as each other. So here we are a couple of shots in and I say to Aye, “Oh you don’t love me no more?” Her reply, “Shut up. You get on my nerves” as she begins to crack up laughing. Moments later this picture is taken. Moral of the story. Don’t think that just because you see something in a picture that you know the whole story or have context. Some would even say don’t let the world know when things aren’t going great. It’s none of their business. I agree. However I also beilieve in being an authentic, transparent and real person. I don’t want anyone getting it confused, thinking that I, my wife not our relationship is perfect. It is far from it. Everything on this internet is not real. Most of it is a highlight reel. Only few are bold and courageous enough to let you see behind the curtains. Thank God for @tkconsultingdesign for knowing us well enough to make a tense situation an amazing experience. 11 years. I’ve been dating this woman for 11 years. I’ve never been with anyone for this long. She was there when I had no money. She was there when I was trying to figure out what I was going to do with my life. When all I could cook for a date was her favorite dish she was there. When others didn’t believe in me she was there. She’s been many things to me but what has been consistent even back then was she’s been my friend. #salute to Queen @ifienatasha.
