I also think yes.
Lorren reminds me quite a lot of Isaac Newton, who reportedly only laughed once, when somebody asked what the point was of studying Euclid.
Isaac Newton also had a feud with Robert Hook and used his authority as a member of the Royal Society to diminish Hook’s memory by having his portrait lost/removed. This reminds me of Lorren’s far more exaggerated role in suppressing information about the Chandrian/Lanre.
I do also wonder about the etymology of Lorren’s name.

Post text reads: I think yes. Or somebody will.
Elxa Dal’s reward for the first person to do it has the air of Chekov’s Gun, is all.]
A sad thing is that there’s enough evidence in canon to argue that Elodin would be a Weapons Grade Freak in bed, and there is just not enough fan fiction taking advantage of it.
And also lest we forget, he is HOT! Look at the art deck portrait.

The Name of The Wind by Patrick Rothfuss (2007) is my favorite fantasy novel of all time. Below is a link to an ad-free YouTube video of the audiobook version narrated by the talented Nick Podehl.
As a young adult, the adventures, music, and magic fascinated me. As an aging adult nearly 20 years later, much of the same still brings me back for yearly rereads but now the secrets/mysteries layered beneath careful language and the poetry of the authors words stills fascinates me.
Looking for something to listen to while doing daily tasks? I highly recommend checking out this award winning series.

Story Endings
I’m sitting here chuckling to myself. I’ve just gone through several novels in a row where I read the first couple of chapters, got bored, then read the ending with no desire to go back and read the bulk of the book I missed. What amuses me is that this is the way I read most books now, reading just the ending, and yet with The Wheel of Time, I skip the ending completely. Well, maybe it isn’t…
