Crown's Song
From the moment he first held it, he heard it. A music was coming from the crown. At first it was a joyous sound, freedom. Then it was pained, captured again. Danny had more important things to worry about, he had to protect Amity. So, he tossed the crown to the side and focused. Danny had forgotten the song, until he heard the crownâs pained cries again. It called him. It begged him to come. The crown wanted a new master, but it also wanted freedom. A melodious, sorrow filled, unnatural whistle, played softly in his mind, calling him, yet also pleading with him to stay away. He did the latter. It wasnât a hard decision, Danny didnât want to be king, at least not now. Time passes, and the song has become a permanent background of Dannyâs life. He grows stronger, faster, and more powerful. His enemies come to respect him. They battle for battles sake, but they no longer go after the humans. Phantom does not hold back if you present a danger to them. Then something changed. The song turned tortured. The crown had a new master. An hour later, an army ran through Amity. They did not fear what they should, so he gave them a warning. âStop this!â Now he saw him. The ghost king roared with laughter. Danny was not afraid. âOr what?â Dark taunted, as skeletons surged. Now was hot the time for witty banter, already people were being raced to the hospitals, he would end this quickly. Training paid off when he used the wail, it had been directed perfectly, and cause no harm, to any but the ghosts. âLeave!â The crownâs song leaped with hope at the threat. Pariah attacked. This time Dannyâs strength surprised him, it took little effort to defend against the kings attacks. Dark flew back, at the force of the heroâs attack. The crown again sang, this time of joy and anguish, but it moved, calling the ring with it. Fire clouded Dannyâs vision, but he saw clear enough. He set the world back as it should be, and the song changed again:A quiet resignation. He had listened to this cry for too long, it was time the crown be freed. The new king took his crown and froze it with its companion. The crown knew what he was doing, as he crushed it, and let out a joyful squeal. The Crown of Fire would never again have a master. Now, to the issue at hand: Dark. âLeave and never return!â Pariah fled. ___ Companion piece to King
