Yeah actually, I should have mentioned that - I don't think there's anything "manly" or "unmanly" about either topping or bottoming (and I don't think they have to be gendered terms anyway - ie anyone can top, not just gay men). I guess it'd be more correct to talk about being the penetrating/penetrated partner, but I'm lazy and from the old school of yaoi, so I still use top/bottom XD In any case, yeah, for Jason it'd be about vulnerability, not wanting to leave himself open.
