i’m sorry but ?? he was hacked, and the hacker gave out travis’ phone number, so travis is changing it and going to the police about it. i’m pretty sure it’s that simple.

The first time that Castiel Novak has to deal with Dean Winchester, it’s because the man’s own brother doesn’t want to.

“Please, Cas,” Sam’s practically begging. “My day’s been already been hell, I don’t need this.”

He’s one step away from pulling out the puppy dog eyes, and Castiel knows it. It’s probably better to give in, just this once, than have to deal with the inevitable sulking that’s going to come later on.

And he knows there’ll be sulking.

There always is when Sam has to talk to his brother. Mainly, because said brother usually needed bailing out from an overnight jail cell, and Sam’s always the one who has to put forwards the money to do it.

Wordlessly, and keeping his eyes firmly fixed on the computer screen in front of him so that he doesn’t have to see the look of triumph on Sam’s face, he holds his hand out for the phone receiver.

He barely has time to lift it to his ear, before the voice on the other end of the line starts talking.

“Sammy, hey. Look, man, I need your help.”

“Uh…This is not your brother.”

He’s greeted with silence.

“…Okay, cool. Think you could go ahead and put my brother on?”

Castiel chances a glance over towards Sam, who waves his hands in the air, in an attempt to make an ‘I’m not here’ gesture that, in Castiel’s opinion, could definitely use some work.

Sam’s going to owe him for this.
