I interviewed Kerri for the @fiddlershop blog, and literally only a few minutes after posting it, I saw she and Lisa were on a road trip from Washington DC to Missouri, stopping in Indiana for the night. Fiji and I came out to meet them! Such a small world. Love meeting kind and fun people. Fiji was so happy to see them, and she didn't even know them. She was too excited to be in the picture. He pulled into his drive way. I introduced myself, and said, "I am bicycling around the world with my dog and violin." He responded, "Wow, can I play you something?" He ran into his garage, and brought his accordian. He had hitchhiked with his dog from Yukon to New Brunswick where he is now taking care of his 90-year-old grandmother. After playing, he asked if I'd please come inside and play for his grandmother. I went in and played a couple of tunes. This all took place in 10 minutes. Little acts of kindness
I had to share this with you... I had an exam this morning, and as I was walking to my exam hall, there were these two boys who were standing in the middle of the road and asking everyone approaching to move aside. I couldn't make out what was going on, but as I got closer, I saw that there was a beautiful, huge Yellow Butterfly on the ground, unable to fly.. They saw it and didn't want it to get hurt. I don't know why, but seeing this made me really happy.. They picked it up gently, very gently and let it onto the branch in a nearby hedge without hurting it...
