We've stayed with Mark, Vikki, their children and furry babies on every bicycle tour so far. They've watched Fiji and I at the beginning, middle and end of our tours as they were usually an endpoint, middlepoint or starting point. Fiji was just a 2-year-old, energetic pup who often tested their cats when we first met. Now, 6 years later, Fiji and I have been so far and grown so much. But Fiji still tests the cats. This time, we were greeted with a pleasant surprise of a tiny home with electricity built in their spacious backyard for guests. What a wonderful honor to be featured in Bicycling Magazine. A huge thanks to all the people who said a few words about me in the article! Just to clarify, I didn't ride the ICE Adventure recumbent trike across Canada. It has yet to get that kind of mileage, but it's on its way! :) Fiji and I are putting off the South America trek for a year and going back up to Canada to see Cape Breton and Newfoundland next Summer. When I crossed Canada in 2016, it was October already when I reached Nova Scotia, so I didn't have time to explore Cape Breton and NF before the extremely cold weather settled in. We will head back down to the Southern Continent at the end of 2019. However, like this article brings out, I am excited to be working with a couple of community orchestras and musicians along my route as well as some schools with underserved children to collaborate on musical projects. She decided to go anyway and spent a magical six months cycling around Mexico. "I discovered Mexico is a wonderful country and that cycling as a solo female is a fantastic way to travel. That trip opened up the world to me. If I could handle cycling in Mexico, I felt like I could go anywhere," Sylvia said. In the following years, I cycled through New Zealand, Australia, Turkey, Morocco, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, China, France, Spain, and Portugal.
