For those who start groaning “this is not raw” - no, it’s not because I eat cooked vegan when I’m out and traveling. VEGAN FOOD ADVENTURES with Raw Chef Yin 2020 Ep 3 - Yang Yuan Natural in Kepong We had to go to House of Ingredients to get ingredients for vegan cheese workshop at the Alice Smith School and since @kindmeal.my has just introduced a new meal deal at Yang Yuan Natural, I thought we’d pop by for lunch. Here’s what we had: 1. Cray Pot Stew Yam RM11.90 2. Cray Pot Su Ku Cha (Dry) RM13.90 3. Okonomiyak without egg RM12.90 Ehm, ya I know it should be spelt as Clay and not Cray and the Okonomiyaki is missing an “i” but I’m just spelling it how it was printed on the menu… Just in case you’d like to use this as a reference when you’re there. I enjoyed the Clay Pot Su Ku Cha the best. I was curious to see how they would make the okonimiyaki without eggs. Some bits turned out burnt black! To be honest, I wouldn’t order that again as it’s nothing like the Japanese pancake that I used to have when I wasn’t vegan. The claypot stew yam was ok. This is a vegetarian place so do let them know that you don’t want eggs in your meals. We found a parking spot close by on a Friday afternoon - phew. The lady who was serving me was really nice. We were in the city yesterday for work so decided to get our packed lunch from Salad Atelier and use our free coupon from @kindmeal.my to enjoy a 20% discount. We had: 1. Red Quinoa Rice Peppery Chicken with Grilled Vegetables RM18.90 2. Nasi Mak RM16.80 Fragrant rice dish cooked in coconut oil and pandan leaf served with hot & spicy sambal garnished with fresh cucumber slices, vege mutton rendang, roasted peanuts, tempeh, and crackers. We requested for the vegan option so there’s no dairy and no egg. 3. Vietnamese Spring Roll RM12.90 These rice wrap rolls are filled with fresh vegetables like carrot, cucumber, lettuce, cilantro etc. and these are high in vitamin A and other micronutrients. 4. Decided to take full advantage of the KindMeal deal at got the Beyond Veggie Signature Fried Rice + Apple Juice. @kindmeal.my It's Beyond Veggie's specialty fried rice that comes with satay, acar, crackers and greens. We had the apple juice with no sugar and no ice. Using the coupon we got a 35% discount. Note that the coupon states that it's RM18.05 but after all the taxes the total amount is RM19.89.
