Vampires did not bother with small towns. At least, that was what she had learned over the years. And there had been a great many years to learn such a thing. Barry was almost the epitome of a small town. Surely there would not be any others? Really, she had not expect to run into any other vampires in the entirety of South Wales. Not until she hit Cardiff, at least.
She had found a nice, secluded wooded area to park her camper. Although she had been reluctant to leave her dogs, or to go near people, they all needed to eat, and she had passes a tiny cafe on her way in. This time of day, there probably would not even be that many people in there. So with her hood up, a canvas bag slung over her shoulder and mis-matched sneakers, she slowly made her way into town.
When she entered the cafe, she could not immediately tell that anything was out of the ordinary. Then again, after being in a camper with two dogs for a few weeks, everything smelled like dog and old tea to her. And anyway, she was far too busy counting her change.
"Can I have, erm... Four hamburgers, no buns, lots of veg, but no onions please. And, um..." She dropped her change on the counter and gave it a good count before asking "is water free?"
