For someone who enjoys cold beverage so much like Jongin, he often visits the renown cafe whenever he’s not too exhausted after his flying schedule and he’s still in his uniform minus the dark toned of navy blue tailored blazer that hangs over the joint of his arm. Before him is a lady, wavy hair curtaining his sight to see her side profile better when they are lining up. Soon as her turn to place an order, he can’t help but to overheard her conversation with the staff responsible for the duty of the cashier on shift. She sounds amiable, not to be judgemental but he unconsciously takes delight in observing random people who could catch his attention.
“Damn it!” She hisses while in the midst of rummaging her bag for her purse. Either she left it somewhere or it was missing, whichever the cause may be, he didn’t want to cut her queue but handing over his card to pay for her instead since he’s ordering for his own frappuccino as well. Discreetly, he hopes that she wouldn’t mistaken his kindness for being cocky or flirtatious but he’d be in panic if he was in her place, losing his wallet or forgotten where he placed it. “I hope you don’t mind getting a free beverage today.” He flashes a smile at her, a genuine one that is.
Sophie had never been one to be organized. She was like a whirlwind, often in a hurry and surrounded by chaos wherever she went, hence why a situation like the current one wasn’t really surprising. She was standing in front of the cashier as she was searching for her wallet in her purse, and if it wasn’t for the friendly and generous male who offered to pay for her caramel macchiato she would have started to cry right there, not being sure what was worse: The fact that she was keeping other people waiting for placing their order or that she most likely lost her wallet.
“Ah, thank you really much.” A grateful smile was offered to her savior as she tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear- almost shyly-, bowing her head in a polite yet grateful manner afterwards. The female was glad that someone was helping her out, the offered friendliness being a good change after having to deal with a tiring and stressful day. “I owe you one for being my hero today, Mr…?” As she waited for him to reply with his name, her brow raising curiously as she takes her drink- the coffee he paid for.
