Perhaps to some extent this song itself isn't a surprise. To some extent, it could be said that the Hatter had been in a depressive state in his current state of mind. However, the main reason to why he feels -- or felt -- this depressive state of mind due to his incapability to separate his emotions from the actual reality. Constantly smiling, constantly happy -- yes, that is the Hatter that nearly everyone knows quite well. But he's bitter, unsatisfied and trapped -- his life ultimately revolves one thing and that is a clock.
When time passes, the things I said were hard and complained about. They will become things of the past. The sharp and emotional memories. They will become dull, become dull like a square wearing down to become a circle.
For those who do not know very much of Dongwoo's entire story; he's constantly trapped by memories he cannot remember. The more that gets added, the more he forgets of his past. So he stays situated within the middle and finds no reason to move -- he had a reason, but the depression came back and its ticking ever so constantly in his thoughts.
